She is a senior and scheduled to graduate in the Spring of 2024 with a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Forensic Science. She is a native Texan from Richmond. Mari will be digitizing our processes and procedures for general office operations, event management and volunteer management. Her hobbies are arts and crafts, along with photography. The purpose of the Sam Houston University Community Work Study Program is to actively engage students and community organizations in a mutually beneficial working relationship.
Please extend a heartfelt welcome to Mari.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
We are proud to celebrate the one-year anniversary of our Executive Director, Lovie Hall Cunningham, who has been a driving force in the on going development of Samuel Walker Houston Museum & Cultural Center. Our museum showcases the history and achievements of African Americans in our community, and with Cunningham's leadership, we have continued to make major strides in preserving the legacy of Samuel Walker Houston. We welcome you to join us in celebrating Lovie's anniversary.
Watch for the Executive Director's Annual Report Soon.
