At our museum, we offer affordable space rentals for all kinds of special occasions. Our spaces are perfect for hosting family reunions, birthdays, parties, baby showers, conferences, community meetings, banquets, and other special events. Our rental spaces are equipped with necessary amenities, and our friendly staff members are available to help make your event a success. Call (936) 295-2119 to reserve your space. Maximum occupancy: 140 people
Auditorium Hall: approx 2,025 square feet.
Stage: approx. 304 square feet

Fifteen (15) 60-inch round tables (one 60-inch round table comfortably seats 6 to 8 people; 10 people is typically the maximum seating for one 60-inch round table)

Prices:

10am - 10pm all day reservation flat fee of $300.00 (+ $200 refundable deposit if no damages or other breach of contract)
or

$50 per hour (+ $200 refundable deposit if no damages or other breach of contract)

$50 per hour also applies to hours rented after 10pm when booking the 10am-10pm $300 all day rental.

About the Space
More than an event venue, this is a place where history connects people.
This spacious hall originally served as the cafeteria for Samuel Walker Houston High School, Huntsville's historic Black high school, which educated generations of students from 1926 to 1968. Following the desegregation of public schools, the campus became an elementary school, continuing its role in educating the community.
Today, the Samuel Walker Houston Museum & Cultural Center welcomes gatherings that create new memories while honoring the generations who learned, gathered, and built community here. Every rental directly supports our efforts of historical preservation and interpretation, helping ensure the historical archives and artifacts remain accessible for future generations.
